BLOOD TIES

"Blood Ties" is a television series that first aired on the Lifetime channel, March 11th 2007 in the United States. "Blood Ties" is based on Tanya Huff's best-selling Blood Books novels that follow Victoria "Vicki" Nelson a former cop turned private eye after being diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa, a degenerative eye disease. Vicki is quickly pulled into the supernatural world after witnessing the murder of Ian Reddick. After being hired by Ian's girlfriend Coreen Fennel to investigate his death, which she believes was committed by a night walker—a vampire. During this first case, the audience is introduced to Detective Mike Celluci—Vicki's former partner and former lover as well as Henry Fitzroy, a 450-year-old vampire who first died at the age of 17 and is the illegitimate son of King Henry VIII. After Mike's reluctance to get involved in the supernatural elements of the case, Vicki partner's up with Henry—who teaches her evil is real and the supernatural exists.

BLOOD TIES: CHARACTERS

Victoria "Vicki" Nelson, 29, Toronto cop turned private investigator who begins an investigation into supernatural, with the help of Henry Fitzroy, Mike Celluci, and her assistant Coreen Fennel.

Henry Fitzroy, 450, a vampire and the illegitimate son of King Henry VIII. He currently makes a living working as a graphic novelist but helps Vicki investigate the unexplainable.

Mike Celluci, a no-nonsense type of guy and 'almost' by the book Toronto police detective who helps Vicki investigate her cases. Sometimes impeding her investigations out of concern for her safety and out of his jealously of the obvious attraction between Vicki and Henry.

Coreen Fennel, 19, after her boyfriend was murdered, Coreen sought Vicki's help, believing supernatural forces were involved. Now she's Vicki's assistant.
